Sometimes, the best bathroom ideas may seem strange at first. For example, consider the shower head in the picture.
It’s probably more expensive than what you will find at your local Lowe’s, but won’t it be great to have a shower in your morning shower in that shower?
As you are planning your bathroom remodel, do not be afraid to throw caution to the wind and look at any idea, no matter what your first reaction.
You’ll pare your ideas down later, as your design progresses. Every remodeling project involves trade offs which have to be consider and decided upon.
During the planning and design phase, jot down every idea that comes to mind. Do this multiple times, as you’ll think of new things every time you do it.
Once you have a list that feels complete to you, prioritize every item into one of two categories, “gotta have it” and “would be nice”.
The next question is do all your gotta have it ideas fit within your budget as well as the physical space? If they do, great! Ask the same question of the would be nice items.
When the answer becomes no, you then need to prioritize with further granularity.
As it can be difficult making these trade offs, I recommend that if you do need help you consider hiring a professional designer. Through the process of doing multiple bathrooms, they’ve learned things you may not know. I’ve seen cases where the designed saved the home owner more than they cost. For real.
