Per an article I found in the MSN Real Estate section, a modern trend in bathroom remodel projects is the installation of flat screen TVs that can be seen while soaking in the tub.
I’m not sure how I feel about this. It’s not like we live in a world that has too few video screens.
Apparently one aspect of this trend is putting TVs behind mirrors so you only see them when they’re turned on.
A trend I fully support is storage units (vanities, medicine cabinets, etc) with electrical outlets inside them. That way all the stuff that needs to be plugged in can stay plugged in while also being kept out of sight.
When you’re done with your electric toothbrush you put it out of sight and out of mind.
Another smart storage trend is vertical storage. Because a lot of bathroom stuff tends to be small, big deep drawers are not the most practical. Instead, a recessed storage unit in a wall that has shelves that are only 3 inches deep, but you have a lot of them, are very practical for storing all the small stuff we store in our bathrooms.
His and Her vanities
Not sure how I feel about this one. Does your stuff really get that mixed up that you need a completely separate storage unit?
