Solera Home Improvement will help with your bathroom remodeling, when you live in an around Los Gatos, CA
You can make your small bathroom room feel deeper by doing a few simple things.
Of course it’s important to realize these ideas work when the room is already a little deeper than it is wide, but they help the room feel even deeper still.
#1) Run strips down the room in some way.
This can be done with flooring (either hardwood, engineered stone, or rectangular tiles).
It can be done with wall paper or paint.
Wainscoating (panels that cover only the bottom half the wall) can help if the wainscoasting has a horizontal pattern.
#2) Have a source of light the far end
Preferably a window, buy a light fixture up on the wall helps too.
#3) If the room accommodates it, install a floor to ceiling mirror on the far wall.
#4) Fool your mind with background / foreground images
When you (actually any of us) see a small image of something you know to be a large object, you know it is far away.
So on the far wall, place some small images of larger things, such as birds, trees or other plants, or if it’s a child’s bathroom, perhaps pictures of airplanes, trains, or mountains, or maybe even stars (if the far wall is dark).
For most of us, this is best done with wall paper or stencils.
These little tricks help fool our minds into feeling the room is actually larger than it is.
