Ornamental Kitchen with Built in Dining Table
This featured kitchen is a little too ornamental for my taste. I love the colors of dark brown, yellow, and white, but the highly ornamental nature of the cabinets, the chandeliers, and the other aspects make this kitchen feel (to me) like I would be afraid I might break something.
Having said that I do love the built in table (quarter table actually). In a way this kitchen as a really big (and perhaps slightly impractical) kitchen island. I say impractical because a lot of floor space is required to allow for two fairly short islands and the quarter round table.
It looks very nice, but a slightly different design could allow that much counter space, a vegetable sink, and seating for two with a much smaller footprint.
The color contrast is primarily between they dark brown and the yellow, which I find myself surprised to feel looks really good.
The flooring, the chairs, and the bottom of one of the island counter are dark brown. The cabinet fronts, the ceiling beams, and the walls are various shades of yellow.
The countertops (with one exception) and the ceiling are white. The one exception is very interesting. All the countertops are white, except one of the island counter is made of a white cabinet which has a black countertop. The contract of the two island countertops being opposite colors actually works (again I feel surprised).
Although I would not choose to remodel my kitchen in this style, if an ornamental decor appeals to you, perhaps this featured kitchen will give you a few ideas for your upcoming kitchen remodel.
