Showers for Small Bathroom Renovation | Menlo Park

Bathroom renovation services from The Solera Group are available to you in and around the city of Menlo Park.

If you are looking just the right tub for your small bathroom renovation, consider a stand-alone shower instead. Space is already limited in a small bathroom, so a bath tub may not be the best choice. Or if you already have a bath tub in your bathroom, removing the tub can free up previously occupied space. A stand-alone shower can provide a place to get clean, but take up more vertical rather than horizontal space, giving you more room for other things like storage.

There are many options to choose from when considering what shower will work best for you, so take your time and choose carefully. For a smaller bathroom you may want to consider a shower with a light colored wall surround or that uses lighter colored tiles as darker colors will make the space feel smaller. Also think about lighting for your shower. Because most shower enclosures are clear or translucent, you could probably get away with using your regular bathroom lighting, but placing a directly above the shower gives more light to the whole shower and light is important in creating the illusion of spaciousness. Finally, think about whether or not you would like to build niches into your shower wall for items like soap and shampoo. Whether or not you have the ability to include niches in your design will depend largely on the type of shower you install.
