Hand held shower heads are quite literally shower heads you hold in your hand. The one in the picture is a dual. There is a hand held head as well as one that stays permanently on the wall. The best of both worlds, don’t you think?
With hand held shower heads what actually mounts to the shower wall is nothing more than a bracket into which the shower head sits, and when you want to move the shower head elsewhere, you simply pick it up and do so.
Some hand held shower heads also have the any stream pulsating jets which are very nice.
They seem pretty obvious, but:
- You put water where you want it.
- This is especially useful when washing (or more specifically rinsing) the shower stall.
There is really only one and it’s fairly minor. Over time the flex arm will leak. Generally at one end or the other, but we have seen them crack in the middle. However when that happens you just get a new flex arm and replace it. It’s not that big a deal.
Excellent choice and especially great for kids. We’ve had the occasional family install a second hanging bracket further down the wall to bring the shower head lower for their young children.
