Maybe I’ve never met a shower head I didn’t like. These are really cool, but maybe I’m just a fan of showers as I like hand held, pulse type, and even low flow (some modern ones produce a very strong stream of water).
A rain style shower head is one that is very wide. Sometimes 12 inches across, sometimes 18 inches across, that generates a lot of very thin streams over a fairly wide area.
Some spread the stream so although it may be 12 inches at the shower head, by the time it gets to your body it’s 18 inches or wider across.
This is as close as you can get to taking a bar of soap outside in a rain storm (which your neighbors might object to).
Some even are plumbed through the ceiling which raises the shower head even higher and gives the stream more time to spread out before it gets to you.
More of you gets wet at once with this type of shower head than with any other.
Other than they’re a tad expensive, there aren’t any.
What type of shower head to get for your bathroom remodel should be an easy choice, but it can be tough. Rain style shower heads are great for the luxury minded home owner. Play some jungle sounds while you shower and you’ll think you ARE showering in the rain.
