Bathroom Center Set Faucets
This post is part of a series about bathroom remodeling (we service the greater San Jose CA metro area), as well as part of a sub-series on bathroom faucets. To access either of the lead posts please select one of the links below.
Center set bathroom faucets have the spout and the handles (valves) mounted on the same base. Almost always (but not always) they have two valves, one for hot water and one for cold.
One characteristic of center set faucets is they use compression valves which are not the most reliable (disc valves are), so although center set faucets tend to be less expensive, you’ll be fixing them in years rather than decades.
It seems to be the most common type of faucet available so it comes in a variety of styles and finishes, as you can see from the few images in this blog post.
The one below is ultra modern, ultra sleek, clean lines, and would go well with the decor or almost any modern bathroom.
Even sleeker more modern with even smoother lines. I believe this faucet must have disc valves based on how the valves rotate to open and close.
Center set faucets also come in older more retro looks.
