Composite Bathroom Countertops
This post is part of a series about bathroom remodeling (we service the greater San Jose CA metro area) as well as part of a sub-series about bathroom counter tops. To access either of the lead posts please select one of the links below.
When you hear the phrase Composite Bathroom Countertop, does it mean anything to you?
Composites are made by embedding pieces of rock (sometimes crushed, sometimes not) in a very hard and durable resin, to create a look of stone (or stones in some cases) with a durability that stone countertops can not even come close to rivaling.
Composite countertops are also known by other names: engineered stone, solid surface, and Quartz (which means the crushed stone in the composite is Quartz and not something else).
As you can see from the pictures in this post, composite bathroom countertops come in a variety of looks colors with a variety of sink mounts. Of the four pictures in this post, one shows a drop in sink, one shows a built in sink, and two show undermount sinks. This style of countertop is especially suited to undermount sinks as the edge above the sink is highly polished.
As you can see from the image on the top right, they are not only made of crushed stone, but can also be made of full stone pieces, for the Flintstones look.
