Stainless steel bathtubs are so much better than cast iron, I don’t even know where to begin.
The Solera Group provides expert bathroom remodeling services in the greater San Jose metro area.
If you want you can get one that actually looks like stainless steel, but most people feel that makes their bathroom look a little industrial.
Stainless steel is an incredibly hygienic and easy to clean surface, which is why it’s the norm for industrial kitchens and many hospitals. However the look of stainless steel reminds some people of these industrial environments, which is why they do not want them in their bathrooms.
Fortunately, you can get enameled stainless steel, which has all the advantages of enameled cast iron, but at a fraction of the weight.
My personal complaint against cast iron tubs is they’re so heavy they require extra effort (and therefore extra cost for you) to install.
Enameled stainless steel tubs come in all shapes, sizes, configurations, and functions.
