Tile Bathroom Countertops
The image in the top right shows a tile sink with a back splash that has accent tiles installed in it. The small glass tiles of different colors provides a visual trim which is itself trimmed on the top and bottom with accent tiles.
The images below show other possibilities for tile bathroom countertops.
As you can see of the image with the undermount sink, tile does not really lend itself to being installed above undermount sinks. That is because with an undermount sink the edges of the countertop material are exposed which means the edges of those tiles need to be cut fairly precisely and polished, both of which are tough to do on the jobsite.
Tile is very well suited to drop in sinks (lowest picture).
If you install natural stone tiles the entire countertop surface needs to be sealed and periodically resealed. If you install ceramic tile that is only true of the grout lines. However either way, tile countertops MUST be initially sealed then resealed every 12 to 18 months.
