Tips for making small bathrooms feel larger
The previous post discussed what you can do with tubs, shower, and toilets to help your smaller bathroom feel larger. A link to the previous post is below.

There are two types of sinks which take up little space in a small bathroom. Pedestal sinks and sinks that mount on the wall and do not touch the floor.
The image on the right shows a wall mount sink with no storage. Pedestal sinks have the same issue of there being no storage.
As all bathrooms need some storage, there is a picture below of a wall mount vanity and sink, which still does not touch the floor, but does give you a place to keep your stuff.
Every bathroom needs storage. For small bathrooms your options are:
- Stuff that room so full it feels claustrophobic (just kidding!!!)
- Install wall mount cabinets higher up on the wall.
- If you have a close right outside the bathroom, use it for bathroom storage.
Don’t forget towel bars, which are a form of storage. No matter what you need your towel bars to be within each reach of the sink and the shower, so before you identify where to put any storage units, place your towel bars first. At the very least this will determine at which height the wall mount cabinets must go.
